Bear Lake

I LOVE Bear Lake. It is stunning. I like taking my kids here because the walk around the whole lake is about the right distance for them. They can walk the whole thing without too much whining that it's too far. You can usually park right by the lake, but if you have to take the shuttle bus it's not a problem. They run really regularly and I find this has been a highlight for the kids. Catching the bus is a novelty for them and not being in a car seat becomes very adventurous! I enjoy packing a lunch and eating it up here. The only disadvantage that I can see is that it does get busy.....if your kids are old enough to snow shoe Bear Lake is a really fun destination.
