"Fun in nature!"

Our family really likes to visit the Bear Creek Nature Center. Even though the center itself is on the smaller side, they have lots of really interesting features.  They also have great trails to walk on outside with lots of plants and wildlife.  My 3 year old loves looking for deer!

"Easter at Bear Creek"

Their Easter Egg Hunt was absolutely wonderful.  The children searched for eggs even in the rain.  Inside the nature center they had rabbits for the children to touch and pet.  They arranged for activities for the children and even had a presentation about rabbits for the older children.  The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about things in the nature center.

"Trails and classes"

Bear Creek Nature Center offers great classes for kids of all ages in their Children's Nature Series. We really enjoy all of the hands-on learning in the main area of the center, from life cycles of insects to an actual beehive that allows the bees to come and go inside the facility. This fascinated my girls to no end that the bees were coming and going through a tube to their indoor hive! There is also a hollow tree and lots of animal puppets to play with, as well as real animal pelts to feel.  A great free activity, and miles of hiking trails right outside!
