Bean Hollow State Beach
add photosThe beach features fishing, picnicking and beachcombing. Younger kids love to explore the tide pools which are filled with anemones, crab, sea urchins and other marine inhabitants. The beach also has a self-guided nature trail.
Swimming is dangerous though because of cold water, rip currents and heavy surf.
Dogs are permitted and must be controlled with a leash of no more than six feet at all times.
Please, NO beach fires are allowed.

"Bean Hollow"
Small, secluded beach with great tidepools. Dogs are allowed on leash. Dogs weren't allowed at Pigeon Point lighthouse so we were happy to let our dog run around here. Bathrooms were closed for the season? Easy access from 84/Woodside Rd and close to Half Moon Bay (20-ish miles).

"Cozy and not crowded"
We love this particular beach. Sand and water...what's not to love? Easy access off PCH but not lots of traffic, that's why we like it even more.

"Bean Hollow"
This is one of the best little beaches on the Peninsula. The parking is free, but get there early because there are only a few spots. Kids will love the rock pools, and the beach is beautiful too.
