"The night life..."

We brought the kids (ages 8 and 11) here during the day expecting a little more than just 3 blocks of activity. We had lunch, which there are many places to choose from, but soon after walking the blocks and listening to some music, the kids were bored and ready to leave. My husband and some friends did return for the night action and found it to be a pretty fun time! A lot of jazz music bands playing and just the variety of people that visit make it that much more appealing!

"daytime great for kids "

this is great to show them a well known street and let them listen to some of the historic jazz and the after you drop the kids off at a relative's house you and your dear hubby/bf/whomever can go back to Beale street for some late night jazz/ club hopping/ and drinks, in particular try the superman drink from the vendors...GREAT!

"Beale Street = alcohol"

This street is like a minnie Mardi Gras. It is not intended for little ones. Although there were kids doing back flips in the street, there is not a whole lot for your kids to do. There are a lot of bars and restaurants but that's about it. The kids will get bored and you will get sore feet from walking.
