A high quality Kid's Club for members and guests of Barton Creek Resort & Spa.
Barton Creek Kid’s Club is a little understated compared to the luxury of the rest of the resort. It’s located in a decent size room with almost none of the luxury items the rest of the resort has. That being said, it also has some of the best childcare staff I’ve ever met. I also really appreciate that their number one concern is the safety of our kids. That in and of itself makes Barton Creek Kid’s Club one of the best!
Safety First
All of the Kid’s Club Attendants are First Aid & CPR Certified. Upon arrival at the Kid’s Club, you’ll fill out a form stating basic information about your child and any needs or concerns the attendants should be aware of. You will also be able to leave your cell phone number in case of an emergency. Reservations are recommended for the Kid’s Club to ensure that the 5-1 child to staff (1-1 infant to staff) ratio is met. If your child has basic special needs and requires 1-1 assistance, the resort is willing to incur that cost themselves! The toys that children play with are sanitized on a daily basis, and the rest of the toys are sanitized multiple times throughout the week. As a mom, I really appreciate that!
What They Do
Besides the train set, the large chalkboard, and all the other toys, Barton Creek Kid’s Club entertains kids through crafts and activities. My kids loved making crowns out of pre-cut paper they decorated with pens, glitter glue, fake gold coins, foam cutouts, pipe cleaners and more. They also have computer games, story time, and puzzles. If it’s a beautiful day, occasionally the attendants will take the kids on a nature walk or let them play on the fenced-in playground.
Additional Information
The fee for Barton Creek Kid’s Club is $15 for your first child, and $5 an hour for each additional child. Considering day care costs, I thought for a country club resort, this fee was very reasonable. The Kid’s Club is designed for children ages 6 months to 8 years. They also have a 4 ½ hour limit per day. It isn’t designed to be a daycare, but gives parents relief so they can enjoy some of the resort amenities themselves.
