Auburn State Recreation Area

Along 40 miles of the North and Middle Forks of the American River, the state main-tains trails, four campgrounds, and other development for wonderful hiking, swiming, boating, fishing, biking, horseback riding, motorcycle riding, and whitewater rafting. Boat-in campgrounds at Lake Clementine are popular with fishing and water-skiing families, with good swimming beaches at the campgrounds.
