"Hands on history of Philadelphia"

On the same block as Declaration House, but not part of the park, is the Atwater Kent Museum, which tells the history of Philadelphia, a city whose story parallels that of our nation as a whole.

Children under twelve enjoy the low-tech, hands-on approach. Special family programs include hat-making or a visit from the “candy man,” as well as exhibitions such as the annual Toys of Holidays Past, Trains and Trolleys, and Children Turning the Centuries.
