"Fun with the Family"

Spend a couple of hours here on 4.5 miles of quiet footpaths in a stunning bayside setting, with freshwater ponds, a salt marsh, tidal mudflats, and winding water channels alive with birds and ducks. This is also a good place to jog or have a picnic; leashed dogs are allowed.
You would never guess this is a waste water reclamation project, and, in fact, a model for the nation. Stop at the interpretive center here for maps and information about birding walks throughout the region, and ask about guided walks at the marsh.
In March the annual spring migration bird festival, called Godwit Days, is a big event, bringing birders from across the country (800–908–WING). For daily bird sightings, call (707) 822–LOON.
