Whale watch operates April to late October. Call for schedule since hours and times vary. Reservations

Check in thirty minutes prior to departure.
The aquarium operates a whale-watching tour on the Voyager III from Central Wharf to Stellwagen Bank, the prime feeding grounds off the coast of Massachusetts; the trip is three and a half to four and a half hours round-trip.
An alternative for those who aren’t keen on being on the water too long is to travel to Provincetown and make the shorter boat trip from there (see Cape Cod chapter).
For boaters, the trip down is lovely; it’s a great way to cool off on a hot day while spotting whales and enjoying the harbor, coastline, and ocean. It takes approximately an hour to get to the sighting location. Profits earned help to support research and conservation scientists at the New England Aquarium. There is a naturalist on board and a 99 percent sighting rate.
Kids must be at least 3 years old and a minimum of 30 inches tall.
