We visited Anderson Park on a sunny spring morning today and were delighted with what we found... There's a large playground with lots to do and climb on, under & through including various types of climbing walls, slides, swings, rope courses, bridge, stepping stools, a music center, steering wheel, a cave with "cave drawings", and more...our girls loved it! The park includes a baseball and other sport fields, several picnic benches, and a good mix of shade trees and open space. The day we visited a couple folks were flying their kites in the open space and looked like they were having lots of fun. Anderson Park is adjacent to the Wheat Ridge Green Belt -- an excellent place to wander along side a stream and see a few ducks or ride a bike down the path.
The Anderson Building and Outdoor Pool are also in this park, although the pool didn't appear to be open for the season yet. There was a nice looking outdoor pool with a huge water slide -- bet its a lot of fun in the summer!
