"Dinosaurs,fossils and gems."

If you have a dino-kid, this is a good diversion for you. This museum on the campus of Amherst college is small but well endowed. The students can study here among the T-rex fossils and beautiful gemstone specimens. There are drawers to be opened and dino-prints to examine. The museum is quite modern and user friendly and best of all free. The day we visited the docents were handing out shark teeth which of course excited the kids. Examples of the first dino-prints are found here. This is what scientists used to discover the existence of dinosaurs!!! It is very interesting. If you are in the Pioneer valley for a visit, make a quick stop at this great little museum.
