When we run out of things to do we come here. This place is kind of strange and not for the squimish. You can purchase mice to feed the gators and watch them eat. Little kids might not like it but then again some adults will not like it either. Our family thinks it is kind of neat.
This was a nice place to go on a rainy day is wis dell. There were albino alligators and other animals. The tour guide gives lots of educational info on the tour. At the end we even got to touch a baby alligator. We will probably go here again when we get a chance since it has been a few years.
This is a fun attraction, yet small but you can take as much or as little time as you want to look at the alligators and other reptiles. Children under 3 are fee which is great!! and adults are pretty cheap as well. You can choose to buy some mice or meat to feed the alligators but you dont have too. I would recommend buying just the meat if you have smaller children because sometimes they don't understand with the Mice and its pretty gross at times..but i have liked it both ways. They also have reptiles for sale and toys for children as well! My three year old enjoyed it!
The premise of Alligator Alley is to educate the public about the different kinds of reptiles in our world. They have several alligators in a tank in the center of their exhibit; and you can purchase raw meat or small mice to feed them. There are other exhibits along the walls of various reptiles; for these you have the option to purchase mice or rats to feed (depending on what species). You do NOT handle the rodents; staff put them into the exhibit for you, all you do is observe the reptile eat its snack. You do not have to buy anything to feed; you do have to pay entrance, but if you keep the receipt you can go in as often as you like through end of business the following day (so two days on one admission). In front you can have your photo taken with a small alligator. It's not the greatest attraction but is quite interesting.
