The sixth largest Shakespeare Festival in the world.
We are so blessed to have this in our area. The plays and shows that are brought in are great!! My husband and I enjoy dinner and shows often. Our favorite by far had to be Menopause! The seats are comfortable and the staff is friendly. The little cafe area is adorable.
The Shakespeare Festival is located in Montgomery, Alabama. I grew up there so I have attended many plays. The atmosphere is very inviting. The inside is just beautiful while the outside provides several photo opportunities. Even if you are not attending a play it is a great place for pictures and a nice walk. I have not attended a play yet that was not enjoyable. The are very professional and are good at what they do. They have had a huge variety of different plays throughout the year. The plays range from child friendly to adult. I have seen Peter Pan with my kids and The story of Patsy Cline with my husband.I would highly suggest making plans to attend one if you are ever in the area.
Visiting the Shakespeare festival is a must for our family several times a year. Beside the obvious theatrical aspect of performances and shows, the museum is a must see for anyone. There is lots of open green spaces and you can take a picnic lunch and enjoy the walking area and hiking trails.
Alabama Shakespeare Festival is known as the 6th largest Shakespeare Festival in the world. It operates year round and there are always several play choices at one time. We have seen several of the plays and are looking forward to seeing Comedy of Errors and The Three Musketeers in May. Leave the toddlers at home because there is no cry room. Your tweens and teens will enjoy seeing works of literature from the studies come to life.
