Splash Adventure Waterpark Opens May 12, 2012!
Alabama Adventure, formerly known as Visionland, isn't worth the price you pay to get in. It costs about the same as Six Flags up the road, only six flags has a lot more to do. The water park is better than the amusement park for sure. They have concerts sometimes during the summer, though I've never been to one so I can't really recommend it. I think Alabama Adventure is aimed at younger children, given that it doesn't have many rollercoasters. I know that they used to have the largest wooden rollercoaster, but don't know if that still holds true today.
First Monday in July at closing, someone stole my belongings from the waterpark.
Third Monday in July at closing, someone stole my friend's belongings from the waterpark.
Little concern from security who's 2-way radio's didn't work.
Black slides smelled like an unflushed toilet.
Not worth the money unless you can't afford to drive to Atlanta to a "real" waterpark.
This park is great for all ages. I have taken babies and toddlers to this park and have gotten my money's worth. They have a great toddler water area, a beach, life jackets, a lazy river, and lots of dry rides for all ages. They also have indoor play areas for when it's just too hot out. Also a candy store, and lots of food, lockers, and even entertainment on Friday nights if that's what you want.
