My son (1.5) loved this park.
We started at the Thomas area, where the obsession with Thomas was given full rein as he made tracks and raced the two trains he was given to play with. After returning the trains, we found that he was allowed on almost every ride along with an adult. While he didn't really care for the ferris wheel, the carousel and the revolving schoolbus were great hits, as was the train that rides the perimeter of the park.
The park is small enough for the little ones that it isn't overwhelming, but if your kids are older (say 10?) and want excitement, they're going to get bored fairly fast as there is only one coaster.
A lovely addition to a park (which I've not seen before) was the water house, spraying lovely mists of cool water on the kids (and adults!) inside. I found that to be a refreshing activity on a Summer's day.
There are snack machines, soda machines, picnic tables and a pizza/salad shop, prices are reasonable.
Overall, I'd recommend the park for families with kids younger than 10, you'll have a lot of fun.
This mini-sized theme park has rides for kids as young as toddlers, but a few "big kid" rides as well for your little thrill-seeker. At only $13.95, it's a cheaper alternative for Knott's Berry Farm up the road, but doesn't offer as much fun for kids older than 9 or so, I'd say.
This place has everything a toddler and I would say up to elementary school age would love.
There is a roller coaster you can ride if you're three and another you can ride if you are 48" or taller. There is a little drop ride that you can also ride if you are 48" or taller. A train goes around the whole park and there is also a fire truck ride, an air balloon ride, a bus ride, a manual train ride, a carousel, and a Thomas & Friends train area.
We went to a birthday party here, and had a blast. The food was really great and my son didn't want to leave after 3 hours of being there.
I hope I have the right place, the picture in the corner isn't correct. This is not a water park in any way! This is a cute small amusement park. I went for my niece's 2nd birthday, with my 2 yr old daughter, 4 yr old nephew and the rest of us were adults. Having a party there is fun! They let the birthday kid go on stage and get a free gift (Adventure City t-shirt) during the show of your choice (we chose the magic show), they get to ride on a "taxi" (the worker pushes them on a cart painted like a taxi :p) to the party room, where you have your food and cake (lots of yummy food to pick!), and on their train ride they get to sit up at the very front next to the conductor. Pretty cool ways to make the birthday kid feel special! The rides are low-key so the 2 yr olds were able to get on too, with the exception of maybe 3 rides (2 roller coasters and 1 ride like Supreme Scream from Knott's, but smaller of course!). We had a really good day there, by the time we left the kids were exhausted! This is a good place to go for 5-6 hours to spend time with your kids :)
Adventure City, “the Little Theme Park Just for Kids,” resembles a storybook village designed and proportioned for children ages two to twelve. For a wonderfully relaxing experience, consider visiting this two-acre park with its sixteen kid-size rides that are quiet yet still zoom and thrill, as well as hourly puppet shows, a 25-foot climbing wall, live theater, storytelling, and face painting. Parent-child interaction is made easy here because the atmosphere is very casual and low-hype. There are plenty of park benches for parental units to sit and relax on while the kids go brave the Kid Coaster or the carousel.
Generally open daily in summer from 10:00 A.M.to 10:00 P.M.and in winter Friday through Sunday, but hours are subject to change without notice. Call or check the website for current operating hours.
