"A Day of Patriotic Fun"

The 4th of July Parade and Fireworks in LaPorte is a great way to celebrate Independence Day!

The parade route runs along Lincolnway downtown.  Get there early with lawn chairs to stake out your spot.  The parade has a wide variety of floats, marching bands, and begins with a special flyover by military pilots.  Stay til the end to wave at the pilots in the last car!

Spend the afternoon relaxing so you can head out again for the lakeside fireworks display.  Visible from all around Clear Lake, space still goes quickly.  Prepare to walk to and from your spot after a long day.  Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to comfortably enjoy an exciting pyrotechnic show.

Vendors are readily available with snacks and cheap toys.  Bring your own to resist wasting money.
