3 mile round trip hikinf trail through a desert canyon that takes you to the 49 palms oasis. Trail head is at the end of canyon road ( off hwy 62, 29 palms hwy). With kids round trip is about 2.5 hours. Moderately strenuous. Very hot and exposed hiking most of the way. Pit toilets at trailhead. Bring lots of water.
