Located about 20 miles northeast of Baltimore and where the Susquehanna River meets the Chesapeake Bay are a towns namely Bel Air, Aberdeen and Havre de Crace which have a plethora of family-owned bakeries, homemade-chocolate stores, creameries and candy stores that have been affectionately called Candy Land after the famous board game of the same name. If you've got a sweet tooth and like a little day trip from DC, this could be a piece of heaven.
I was shocked and kinda surprised when i saw this posting online....I had to click on it just to see if it was the same store my Grandfather had taken my older sister and me to when i was very young.....IT IS!! judging from the pictures, it hasnt changed too much!! Seeing this made my day, and I will be taking my 5 year old there in the near future! Im very excited about this!!
looking for an old favorite for candy? well look no further than candyland, i have been going since i was 7 and its the only way to get me to make that trip out there, i love that there is candy for everyone of every age and even have some sugar free candy, it is by the pound so it is pretty cheap but be careful your kids could leave with a very high sugar rush
