How it all began
Trekaroo is the brainchild of Brennan and LiLing Pang, fanatic travelers who were determined not to let parenthood stop their quest to explore the world. When their son was 4 months old, they ventured to the stunning ruins of Macchu Picchu in Peru. They soon discovered that traveling around the world with a young child was a whole different ballgame. “I wanted to find other parents who had been to Peru with their kids and absorb every ounce of wisdom I could from their experiences. But there weren’t any resources to help me connect with the parents who had the answers.”More than a year after the initial idea and with no go-to resource for traveling parents, they realized that they had to build it. We know from first hand experience that the correct advice can mean the difference between going and staying home.

LiLing Pang (travelpangs)
Co-founder, CEO, Product and Marketeroo
LiLing is originally from Singapore, the island nation that is addicted to food of all types. Her favorite travel moment is standing in the shallow waters of Hanauma Bay, HI with her three year old squealing delightfully at the fishes. LiLing comes from a marketing and web product development background and has produced web products for Mattel, 3Com, and Visa. LiLing attended the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where she obtained a B.S. in Economics, with a concentration in marketing, all while taking as many art classes as she could. LiLing has spent many years building community and recruiting and managing volunteers for the children's program at their church, as well as for their son's co-op preschool.

Brennan Pang (brennan)
Co-founder, COO, and technical shortstop
A native Californian and true outdoors enthusiast, Brennan can't wait until his kids are old enough to climb snow-capped mountains with him. He is notorious for feeling ill during many a mountain bike ride. Brennan brings expertise in technical operations and previously led teams at Ofoto and Medical Broadcasting Company, as well as having managed large-scale video streaming systems at Pure Digital Technologies (theflip.com). Brennan holds a B.S. from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo and a masters from the University of Pennsylvania. Brennan and LiLing have traveled extensively together, as well as with their two young sons.

Michael Deitcher
(uncle michael)Lead Engineeroo and proponent of hacky sack
Also known affectionately as Uncle Michael, Michael is multi-talented. He is chief architect, coder, product idea guy, and also seeks to keep everyone happy and sane. In his free time, Michael paints, plays a mean game of table tennis, loves bicycling, rock climbing, and cooking. He recently returned from trips to Peru and Namibia,
has explored Patagonia, and has mountain biked through Morocco. Michael brings a depth of experience in programming and has worked at FWB, WebSense, Macromedia, and Pure Digital Technologies. Michael holds a B.S. in Economics from the University at Albany, State University of New York.

Sharlene Earnshaw

Sharlene Earnshaw is a life long California girl who loves nothing more than to hike, travel, write, and then travel some more. Her three year old boy/girl twins and loving husband provide all the inspiration she needs to plan one new adventure after another. She is a self proclaimed National Parks nerd and has made it her goal to see every single National Park with her children. She is a dedicated road tripper and spent last summer on a 24 day road trip across the Western US and Canada with her then two year old children. Her favorite travel memory is being greeted by cheers at the top of Inspiration Point in Grand Teton NP after being told that her toddlers wouldn't be able to do it. She graduated from the University of California at Davis with a degree in Communications.

Esther Lee (thelees3)
Co-founder, Emeritus - Financeroo and dealmeister extraordinaire
Esther Lee grew up in Connecticut and can be found espousing the virtues of noodles and beets. She wields superwoman level Excel skills. Esther stays fit by chasing her active toddler. Her favorite travel memory is sledding with her one year old son in a laundry basket. Esther has always loved start-ups. She started by investing in start-ups like Audible, Jamdat, and WiderThan while at Apax Partners before switching to the other side of the table to be an entrepreneur. Esther graduated from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and holds a graduate degree from Babson College.
